Already benefiting from an advanced and innovative design, the new 208 becomes sharper and more distinctive with a new front bumper and a wider fully integrated grille. This striking new look is supported by new two-tone headlamps fitted as standard from Active trim level. Combined with restyled front fog lamps (not available on Access), this fresh face subtly transforms the 208. The range of colours and paint finishes available on the new Peugeot 208 has expanded, with several brand new hues including the striking new metallic Orange Power (not available on Access).
The new 208 offers a choice of two PureTech petrol engines. This 3-cylinder petrol engine technology delivers energetic drive and performance, excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. It’s the result of intelligent, innovative engineering, which combines reduced weight materials with the efficiency of direct fuel injection to give you maximum pleasure behind the wheel, at any speed, for less. The 81kW PureTech turbo engine with new generation 6 speed automatic delivers combined fuel consumption of 4.5l/100km and CO2 emissions of just 104g/km.
Climb into the new 208's Peugeot i-Cockpit, with its compact steering wheel, head-up instrument panel and large touch screen (not available on Access), and discover your ticket to a driving experience that combines punchy thrills with maximum safety. Enhancements have been made to improve comfort and desirability of the new 208 interior. The steering wheel is trimmed in full-grain leather from Active trim level, whilst Active and Allure feature new seat material. All of this adds up to a comfortable yet exhilarating driving experience that will make every day driving an absolute pleasure.
The new 208 is bursting with technology. Its multi-function colour touch screen (not available on Access) acts as mission control, providing access and finger-tip control of all the car's audio, communications and navigation (not available on Access, optional on Active, standard on Allure and GT Line). USB and Bluetooth® functionality is supported for most smartphones, accessed from the 7" touch screen.
The 208's panoramic glass roof (available as an option on Allure and GT Line) fills the interior with light and gives you great visibility. After dark the ambient lighting takes on a different mood - the cool white backlighting of the sporty analogue dials and controls gives them a crisp, hi-tech finish as well as making them easy to read, along with the blue diodes outlining the panoramic glass roof at night, with its "comet" effect.
The ultra-light body structure of the New 208 was designed to absorb the maximum energy from various types of impact - minimising the consequences for those inside and outside the car. The result is a tough but lightweight vehicle (from 975 kg depending on the version chosen) with greater agility, optimised fuel consumption and even more driving enjoyment for you.
